After fuelling up with a hearty breakfast, we’ll get on the picturesque tourist bus ride to Pokhara. As we travel west of Kathmandu Valley, prepare to be awestruck by views of gushing Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers.
As the drive advances, we pass by lush hills and scenic villages. We’ll make a quick snack stop to interact with locals before continuing through lively villages blessed with small springs.
We’ll pull into Pokhara by late afternoon, a pristine lakeside town surrounded by the Annapurna range. After checking into our hotel, relax by wandering the quiet Fewa Lake. Let the mountain breeze wash your worries away for the epic trek ahead!

After an energizing breakfast, we’ll drive for an hour from Pokhara’s lakeside to Nayapul to officially commence our trek. Strapping on our hiking boots, we’ll follow the Modi River’s lush green banks, passing rice paddies and soybean fields.
We’ll get glimpses into the vibrant cultures of the Gurungs, Magars and Tamangs inhabiting charming villages like Birethanti along the way. If time permits, we could soak our tired muscles in the hot springs at Jhinu Danda. However, when we return from the trail, we can take our time in these hot springs.
Finally, we’ll ascend to the traditional Gurung settlement of Ghandruk. We have enough time to visit the Gurung Museum to learn about local customs. While sipping ginger tea at a teahouse, you can immerse yourself in the Annapurnas’ alluring beauty.

We’ll then climb stone steps leading up to the lively Gurung village of Chhomrong – the gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary. Descending to the river again, we’ll take uphill through rhododendron forests to reach today’s destination at Sinuwa. Enjoy the irresistible views of the Himalayas.

As the trek advances, we’ll make our way through the vast pasture of Tomo. Spotting distant peaks over grazing cattle, we’ll gradually ascend and arrive at Deurali by afternoon. Deurali is the last stopover before Annapurna Base Camp.

Stopping frequently to acclimatize, we’ll push higher until finally arriving at Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). From this vantage point, the Annapurna range unfolds majestically before our eyes – a truly unforgettable sight.
Hereafter, we’ll take a hike to ABC at 4130m and complete our high-altitude quest! Finding a cozy corner at the campground beneath Annapurna South’s towering ice-capped spires, we’ll celebrate our unique accomplishment.

Waking before dawn’s first light kisses the peaks, we’ll enjoy the sunrise view over the majestic mountains. Soon after, fuel up with a hearty breakfast, before retracing our steps past Machhapuchhre Base Camp through wispy clouds.
As the trek proceeds, we pass by Hinko, Himalaya Hotel, and Dobhan. Eventually, we’ll arrive at Bamboo for our night stay.

Day 08: Trek from Bamboo (2,310 m / 7,578 ft) to Jhinu Danda (1,760 m / 5,774 ft)
After breakfast, we’ll retrace our steps to Chhomrong via the same trail leading out of the Bamboo forest. Passing teahouses buzzing with trekkers, we’ll walk beyond Khuldighar through serene rhododendron forests and bamboo thickets.
Reaching Chhomrong by noon, we’ll continue downhill on forested slopes. Leaving the main trail, we’ll finally arrive at the tranquil hot springs of Jhinu Danda.
Here in the heart of nature, let the thermal waters melt your fatigue away as you relax amongst verdant terraces.

On the final day of the trek, we’ll bid farewell to the Jhinu Danda and trace the Modi Khola downstream along a gradual dirt trail. Passing terraced farms, we’ll arrive at Siwa after a leisurely three-hour riverside walk – our last taste of village life.
Our drive will pick us up here for a scenic drive through the foothills back to Pokhara. Reaching Pokhara by late afternoon, celebrate your achievement over a traditional Nepali feast by the serene Fewa Lake.

Arrival, Welcome, and Trek Start
Once you share your flight details, a representative from Glorious Eco Trek Nepal will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu with a sign bearing your name.
You’ll be welcomed with a traditional Khada scarf or marigold garland and taken to your hotel in a private vehicle. If you haven’t booked accommodation, we can assist you in selecting a good hotel in Kathmandu or Pokhara depending on your plan.
Accommodation During the Trek
You’ll stay in clean and comfortable teahouses or lodges throughout the trek. Rooms are mostly twin-sharing with shared bathrooms.
